Construction of 6,250 linear feet of 20-inch ductile iron pipe (DIP) waterline and connection to Wise Water’s 54-inch steel water main. This was a major improvement to the Stonegate Water and Sanitation District’s system as it was a transmission main to a new above ground water tank system.
The project included excavation and installation of a master meter vault, including electronic actuated valves, fiber optic telecommunication to the water plant, with SCADA systems, and full electrical amenities. There was also a 645-foot, 38-inch micro tunnel bore under E-470, which included all associated monitoring including extensometers, surface monitoring points, monitoring point arrays, and utility monitoring points associated with the E-470 Highway Authorities Specifications.
