Mine Site Development, Idaho Cobalt Operations

Iron Woman Mining Services has supported the Jervois ICO mine operations project execution team to bring the cobalt mine into full operation. The ICO mine is located approximately 45 miles west of Salmon, Idaho, in the Salmon River Mountains.  Iron Woman was selected due to the team’s high commitment to safety and ability to work efficiently and productively in extremely remote and harsh weather environments.

The company’s divisional service lines, including trucking, civil and utilities, mine development and support services, and environmental services, lend well in providing Jervois with tested and proven solutions to the development of the site. Iron Woman began working at the ICO in March 2022 with an initial assignment to work on mine development infrastructure consisting of excavation and earthwork for placing underground utility lines, installation and construction of the mine rescue trailers and portions of the man camp, concrete structural work, site construction, vertical construction of several sprung structures and metal buildings, pole barn installation, electrical wiring, site maintenance troubleshooting, and T&M mine support.
