Women of Iron Woman
Women of Iron Woman (WoIW) is an internal program focused on enhancing the work environment for women. The program was founded by two employee owners who saw an opportunity to improve the wellbeing, development, and retention of women in the construction industry. They created a program that works with employees on career path development, educational opportunities, diversity training, and support. While the WoIW is focused on supporting women, training and resources are available to every employee.
WoIW Vision: Create a safe, supportive, and collaborative work environment for women and all of Iron Woman’s employees.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Iron Woman’s very foundation was built on a culture of giving. Co-founder Phyllis Pendergrass Egan set an example of service and paying it forward that has become the pillar of Iron Woman’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. The program is built around 4 focus areas: affordable housing, education, workforce development, and employee well-being. We offer employees paid time off for volunteering and donation matching programs. Recipients of corporate giving have included Habitat for Humanity, The Greenway Foundation, and Colorado Education Foundation. Employee support programs such as Women of Iron Woman and educational assistance programs ensure we are supporting our people as well as the community. Iron Woman partners with Mile High United Way to develop, execute, and continuously improve our CSR program.
