Essential Functions

  • Performing daily commercial vehicle inspection
  • Ensure the completion of necessary repairs to the vehicle to ensure operational safety
  • Maintain complete vehicle inspection reports (Daily)
  • Making pickups & deliveries to job sites in various environments
  • Performing basic troubleshooting involving malfunctioning equipment and making minor repairs
  • Completing logbook and trip sheets meeting all D.O.T. and company record keeping requirements
Job Details:

The position requires compliance with the following responsibilities:

  • Maintain a valid driver’s license with Class A or B CDL certification.
  • DOT Physical Examination (Medical Card) and good driving record.
  • Working knowledge of Motor Carrier Safety Regulations/DOT guidelines
  • Accountability for personal safety & maintaining a safe work environment.

 

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is exposed to various extreme weather conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must lift or move items up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
