Iron Woman Mining Services began work on the VLF2 Booster Station project at the Cripple Creek and Victor Mines on April 19th, 2021, completed in October, 2021. The scope involves Civil, Mechanical and Electrical work associated with construction of a process solution pumphouse and supporting infrastructure. The pumping station serves as part of Newmont’s future gold recovery operations at the facility. Iron Woman’s team is comprised of 10 field employees, Victor Harrell – Health and Safety Manager, Scott Chest – Superintendent, Tom Schrock – Foreman, Nick Martin – Project Engineer, and John Trujillo as Project Manager. IWMS has subcontracted the electrical scope to a trusted partner, Sturgeon Electric. The project is a major milestone for the division as it represents the first significant mine infrastructure project in the State of Colorado and validates Iron Woman’s growing reputation with the country’s largest mining companies.
